  1. I found these pictures very interesting. I liked the first picture where you made your dress look like the picnic blanket where your friend was eating off of. The one below it is a little off center and I believe that the first one was better formatted. I figured out the point of your pictures was for you to act like inanimate objects while your fried used them in her daily life. The picnic blanket, chair, human canvas and I'm guessing lamp in the last picture. One improvement I can give is to make sure that you're pictures are centered on the focal point. With two of your pictures, they don't seem like they are centered on what you want to take the picture of. Overall though, I liked your ideas.

  2. I liked that you didn't show the face in any of your pictures and it makes the viewer wonder who this person is.I also liked that you used the body as a different form and not just a body(picnic blanket, chair, canvas, lamp). My favorite picture would probably be the 5th one and I just find the colors in the picture so vibrant and beautiful. You're literally saying the body is a form of art and I think that's a very nice message to convey. A picture I'd pick to re-shoot would be the last one and just move more to the center and cut out the mulch/dirt you have in the picture and just keep the grass if that makes sense.

  3. I love the concept that you did as yourself as inanimate objects. My favorite is the picnic one cause I like the colors but I also like the chair one because it can say a lot about how people can be used in one-sided relationships. I like the colored one uncropped a lot better than the B&W cropped one because it gives a lot of insight into the house that you are in and its more centered.

  4. Alissa,
In your fourth photograph, your pairing of the plant motif with the female figure feels very well-thought out for multiple reasons. You utilize the similarities within both forms to create a composition that feels very natural, playful, and celebratory of the human body. Moreover, it is clear within this work that you use this photograph as an opportunity to make the connection between the curves of a plant and the curves of a woman's body. In doing so, you reiterate the common notion of mankind's connection to the earth. One thing I would work in this composition is focusing more on color. How does color play a role in telling your story?

  5. I really like the first two images, the dress works really well as the appearance of a table cloth. The colors are very bright and eye catching. My only critique would be trying to find a way to limit the shadows over the subject. The photo that could use the most work is the black and white image. If you are trying to make the kitchen a centerpiece of the photo, I think you might benefit from changing the angle to a further left position from where it was originally shot. In addition, I am not sure if I really understand the cropping, and I think the pictures could benefit from added color to more closely match the others.

  6. I found the first photo very interesting. I see that you included two similar photos, but I do like the closer up version. It does a better job of bringing balance to your composition. Your work demonstrates a nice exploration of color. One I might consider reshooting is the last one. I think maybe moving indoors as if your were a lamp in your home could be interesting to try. It seems like there needs to be more around you. If you choose to reshoot outside, it could be interesting to bring in other random objects around you. Maybe setting up a scene with a chair and coffee table for example, could create an interesting composition. Nice work!

  7. I love how much you experiment with your images! the first two images using you body as a table cloth and table is very fun and has the most potential!! i Love the colors of all those images and enjoy how it makes you think of who the person is. Its a very creative and expressive way of showing how people use everyday objects! the images of the lamp could be more successful i think indoors? maybe reshot some more of those but i definitely like the first two!

  8. I think these are all very creative ideas and I think you did a great job in realizing them. The vibrancy of all the colors gave these photos a lively, human, sort of feeling. I'd say that the first two images are worth reshooting. I like the idea a lot, but because the sun was behind the camera, it cast some shadows that obscured a lot of the subject/objects in the scene. I'd say just reshoot that one, but facing the sun so no hard shadows get in the way.
